Konami, however, didn’t seem to leave the talents of the developer behind…
Qimsar was working on making the PlayStation 4-exclusive Silent Hills-teaser, P.T. (which has long been pulled from PlayStation Network), become available on PC, but Konami knocked on his door. The developer told GameJolt that he got a call from Konami, who told him to stop developing the P.T. project…
Usually, the cease and desist orders (where the IP owners/the game developers tell the remake/port/game developer to suspend development or face a lawsuit and other charges…) end here, but this case is an exception: Qimsar’s work was highly regarded in Konami, and thus, the Japanese company will send the 17-year-old dev (with only 35 hours of Unity and 6 hours of Unreal Engine experience, respectively!) a box of goodies, and they also offered an internal job for the guy whose first game project was P.T.’s remake…
Hopefully, it wasn’t a joke by someone, and Konami indeed offered him an internship. It’d show some humanity from the company that isn’t highly regarded nowadays…
