[GC 2018] World War 3: Battlefield 4 Reimagined? [VIDEO]

Farm 51’s (Get Even) game seems to recreate 2013’s Battlefield 4… or, at least, we feel like that.

Why? Well, World War 3 is set in the modern days, and the user interface is similarly new. There’s also a bit of inspiration as well from DICE’s FPS regarding the visual effects as well. However, World War 3 feels darker than Battlefield 4, and the players seemingly have more weapons when they spawn (the first video, courtesy of GameSpot, shows the player having three outright) than in DICE’s game.

Unfortunately, there’s room for improvement: there’s an issue with spawn camping. Who likes getting killed in two seconds after stepping on the battlefield? Nobody does. At least we can check out the Warzone mode in detail, as all videos are recorded from it, including the sniping as well. We have to get used to the grey/black areas, though.

World War 3 is set to arrive into Steam’s Early Access on PC this autumn, but we think the game could head to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One as well when the early access phase is complete.
