Launched originally in 2001, Onimusha: Warlords will be re-released next January.
Capcom has just confirmed the reissue of the legendary Onimusha: Warlords. The video game of the Japanese publisher will be re-released on Xbox One, PS4, Steam and Nintendo Switch on January 15, 2019, at a recommended price of 19.99 euros. It will put us in the skin of Samanosuke, who must save Princess Yuki from a siege of demons that have invaded Inabayama’s castle.
As it could not be otherwise, Capcom will adapt the game to the high resolution, widescreen, analogue stick compatibility, new musical arrangements and a new difficulty mode that will facilitate the adventure to less experienced players. No plans have been made to bring the rest of the episodes of the series back to the current generation.
Onimusha was one of the first great successes of Capcom in the generation of 128 bits. Originally released on PS2 in 2001, I mixed exploration, puzzles and action in an epic that takes us to the Sengoku period and stars actor Takeshi Kaneshiro.
Onimusha: Warlords will be available in digital format in North America and Europe at € 19.99 on all systems, and a physical version will be released in North America on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
