MOVIE NEWS – It looks like John McClane is going to kick some ass once again.

We already know that Die Hard 6 will take place in the 70’s, before the events of the first movie, at the start of McClane’s career. The movie’s name was Die Hard Year One previously, but it looks like the studio wants to use another name for the movie instead.

The studio behind the movie wants to get rid of the Die Hard name and they want to use the main character’s name as the title: McClane. The producer said the following about this decision:

“You can tell our intention by the fact that the title page we handed in says, ‘McClane.’ We want you to get invested in John McClane more than ever before.”

The producer also talked about what will they do with Bruce Willis, given the fact that he is over 60-years-old now and the movie will take place before the first one that was shot in the 80’s.

“I don’t know how you do Die Hard without Bruce. The idea that he’s not very significant in this movie is not accurate at all. We are gonna explore John McClane in his twenties. But just as prominent is the 60-year-old version.”
