They plan to show everything at the Portland Game Expo.
A few months ago, we already wrote about how the Intellivision name is getting revived with a brand new console with a planned reveal date of October 1. However, Intellivision Entertainment‘s plans have slightly changed – the console will be shown to the public a bit later.
Don’t worry; the reveal wasn’t delayed by months. „Only” three weeks. The reveal is set to happen at the Portland Game Expo, on October 20. It makes sense: the event, which runs this year from October 19 to 21, is mainly for retro gaming.
Intellivision Entertainment will unveil the name, branding, hardware specifications, online features, controller, development tools, price, and release date for the console, as well as the launch games, the developers and publishers they have partnered with, and the game licenses they plan to utilise. (They will also release 3D renders of the console and the controller.)
If Tommy Tallarico, the president of Intellivision Entertainment, has such direct ideas, he might have some aces up his sleeve. We’ll keep an eye on the Intellivision revival…
