The dogfights also got a new trailer.
As it’s different what we get per platform, we’ll discuss the pre-order bonuses separately. The PlayStation 4 pre-ordering will get you a dynamic Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown immediately, and in the game, you’ll also get the McDonnell Douglas F4-E, plus three skins (Su-37 – Yellow 13, F-14D – Razgriz, and F-15C – Pixy). As a bonus, you’ll also get the PlayStation 4 port of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Buying digitally will also get you the F-140C -Avril- plane.
The Xbox One doesn’t get a teme, but they’ll still get the F4-E, the three skins, and the F-140C -Avril- if bought digitally. The game will be different: they’ll get the X360 backward compatibility title Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. The Steam will get the same stuff but no AC6 – the PC users got the short end of the stick again…
The Season Pass will cost 25 dollars, and it will get you three extra planes, three stages, and an in-game music player option (which, frankly, is quite insulting to be put behind a season pass…). The game’s deluxe edition will have the base game, the season pass, and the digital-exclusive plane as well.
Japan will also get a PlayStation 4-exclusive collector’s edition for roughly 120 dollars. It will have a collector’s Box, a copy of the game, a steelbook (Collector’s Edition-exclusive design), a booklet called „Aces at War: A History 2019.” a few stickers (legacy Ace emblems), and an embroidered patch („Trigger”). (Let’s hope the Western box art will be the same as the Japanese one!)
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will launch on January 18 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, followed by the PC port on February 1.
