A Turkish distributor might know something.
Bilkom, which previously has teamed up with CD Projekt RED to launch The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Turkey, wrote in a tweet that Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish dev team’s next game, would launch in 2019. The tweet, as expected, was quickly pulled, but, as is the case with such scenarios all the time, the Internet doesn’t forget: the tweet was saved in the form of a screenshot!
If we remember, one and a half years ago, in March 2017, a report said that Cyberpunk 2077 was in a „quite advanced state,” even though the game’s proper announcement was still more than a year away. CD Projekt RED isn’t afraid to delay the game a few times for quality, and since Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly anticipated title (which, according to Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk 2020 table-top game, is a „few years” away from its release…), there’s a chance that it could be delayed.
And then, let’s not forget that CD Projekt RED is considering a next-gen release as well, which could push Cyberpunk 2077 to 2020. It might be out next year, though. Or maybe not.
