The „100-hour week” thought might have started a chain reaction.
Job J Stauffer, who has spent time at Telltale and Rockstar before, is now working for Orpheus Self-Care Entertainment as a co-founder. He responded on Twitter to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier comment. Let’s see what he said:
„It’s been nearly a decade since I parted from Rockstar, but I can assure you that during the Grand Theft Auto IV[‘s development] era, it was like working with a gun to your head 7 days a week. “Be here Saturday & Sunday too, just in case Sam or Dan [Houser] come in, they want to see everyone working as hard as them.”
Shortly after, he wrote another tweet: „There was an instance in 2008 or 2009 when I legitimately had THE FLU. Needed a day off. Went to Drx, got an Rx for Tamiflu, had an allergic reaction, tweeted a photo, then got put on notice for not coming in to work and ‘fooling around on Twitter’ instead. True story. F*cking crazy.”
Stauffer’s job experiences are seemingly contradicting Houser’s statement that only the four writers had to pull 100-hour weeks for three weeks. It means someone is probably bluffing…
