Hitman 2 also got a live-action launch trailer, featuring Sean Bean, who once again has to die…
PEGI, the Pan European Game Information board, has rated 2012’s PS3/X360/PC game Hitman: Absolution, as well as 2006’s X360/PS2/X/PC Hitman: Blood Money, the two games pre-dating the Hitman-reboot, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It means IO Interactive (and Warner?) want to earn more cash by re-releasing Agent 47’s earlier adventures, and since it’s trendy to re-release games today, it’s likely going to happen shortly on PS4 and Xbox One.
Hitman 2‘s launch trailer is more interesting, though – it features Sean Bean, who acts as Mark Faba, a master of faking his death, who turned from an MI5 (not MI6!) agent into a deadly assassin. (He’s going to be an Elusive Target in Hitman 2 – we wrote about it in detail before.) „Bean discusses the importance of creativity and improvisation to a true assassin while showcasing a variety of unassuming items that can be utilised as deadly weapons in Hitman 2. From rubber duck explosives and transistor radios to kitchenware and flamingo costumes, the world truly is your weapon. And no one knows this better than the masterful Agent 47, who makes an inconspicuous appearance towards the end of the video with a deadly surprise for Mr Faba,” the press release says.
Hitman 2 will launch on November 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while Hitman: Absolution and Hitman: Blood Money is likely going to arrive in 2019 on the three platforms. (This is our guess, though – we believe a PC version won’t be ruled out either.)
Here’s some news that we seem to have missed in late September. Hitman: Absolution was rated for PS4 and Xbox One in Europe. When are ya gonna talk about that, @IOInteractive? pic.twitter.com/r2Lce46Gw0
