Will Ubisoft’s Avatar Game Be Called Avatar: Pandora Rising?

Making a game out of Avatar isn’t easy (especially a GOOD game), but Ubisoft gives it a shot.

Back in February 2017, Ubisoft Stockholm and Massive Entertainment (the devs behind The Division games) announced that they are using the Avatar intellectual property to make a „cutting-edge new game.” We haven’t heard about it in the past 1.5 years, but 20th Century Fox made sure we bring it up again: at the EUIPO, they filed a trademark in Europe for „Avatar: Pandora Rising,” which would be used for „computer game discs; software, namely game software,” meaning it’d be the game’s name.

As Massive‘s The Division 2 is out in mid-March on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, it’s possible that they will then shift over to James Cameron’s potentially film-based game to make a decent product…

We’ll see when it will be announced – Ubisoft might keep it for E3, but the timing is suspicious, as is it close to The Game Awards, and we might see a teaser of the game on December 6/7 (depending on your timezone)…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
