Insomniac Games‘ game became a best-seller in its genre.
Mat Piscatella, an analyst at the American NPD Group, has reviewed November’s sales data, and he confirmed on Twitter that the PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man has become the fastest-selling superhero game even without the bundle sales (where games are included with the new consoles in their boxes) in the software charts.
Meanwhile, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have also said on Twitter that the costume requested by many (who have done some harassment, too), namely the one Spidey wore in the Sam Raimi films, are also in the game now as a free update after „months of work”. (These films were in the first half of the 2000s, in case you forgot.)
Although Spider-Man has not won at The Game Awards (while another significant 2018 PlayStation 4-exclusive, God of War, has), he can be proud of at least this result. Congratulations!
