The popular analyst thinks as such about BioWare‘s game, which can already be bought cheaper for some people… even though it didn’t even come out a week ago yet!
Wedbush Securities’ analyst, Michael Pachter, told CNBC the following: „Electronic Arts has made a mistake [by making Anthem playable a week before release on Origin Access Premier]. My personal view is that this is just not a PC game — there is flying in the game, and manoeuvring your flying character is like driving a car; the controls just don’t work well for that on PC, and they work flawlessly on (video game consoles).”
He added that compared to the PC average score of Anthem, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One scores will be roughly ten points higher, which he thinks is „still bad, but not catastrophic.” „Electronic Arts has executed poorly all year (they expect $4.75 billion in revenue now and guided to $5.55 billion 9 months ago). Poor reviews for Anthem are consistent with their poor execution all year,” he added.
While Anthem has pulled in the first place in the United Kingdom on the physical game sales chart, but compared to Destiny, it sold roughly ten times less, according to Daniel Ahmad, another well-known analyst. After this, are you even surprised about this Reddit topic? Multiple people have received a coupon code from Amazon UK, which is valid until March 1. If they buy Anthem on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, they will get a five-pound discount. Seeing how Anthem costs 50 pounds, it’s already 10% off! Let us repeat it: BioWare‘s game came out on friday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s shocking!
