Remnant: From The Ashes Aims To The End Of Summer [VIDEO]

Darksiders III’s developers’ (Gunfire Games) new game will come out shortly before the end of the summer.

„In Remnant: From the Ashes, interdimensional beings known as the Root have decimated humanity, leaving the world ravaged by the invasion. As a survivor seeking to reclaim Earth from monsters, players must venture beyond the World Stone, a relic enabling travel between worlds. Traverse bizarre and beautiful dynamically-generated environments filled with unpredictable enemies, potential allies and untold secrets. Each journey beyond humanity’s stronghold will challenge players at every turn, forcing them to learn through victory and defeat as they amass an arsenal of weapons, armour and mods to create the ultimate survivor,” the press release says. (The name of the enemies is somewhat funny, though…)

Our upgrading will be flexible and gear-based, the combat system is promised to be intensive (with a combination of firearms and melee combat), and the worlds will be randomly generated, which could offer endless challenges, and since we can play cooperatively with up two survivors, it doesn’t sound too bad. (Perhaps this is why there will be three classes, namely the Scrapper, the Cultist, and the Hunter…)

Remnant: From the Ashes will launch on August 20 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Its publisher is going to be Perfect World Entertainment. It looks like a Souls-clone TPS – if Gunfire Games can create something more memorable than Darksiders III, we might not be disappointed in it… but there are more than twenty bosses and over a hundred monster types. There will be a lot of variety!
