Hideo Kojima‘s Death Stranding game got a teaser – it’s near impossible to find anything meaningful in it…
A few weeks ago, we wrote about how Kojima was editing a video for its long-awaited game – it is going to be an eight-minute trailer (or gameplay, who knows… with Kojima, you may never know), and with this half-minute Twitter video, there’s a huge chance that he (who has previously praised the Google Stadia as well) is trying to warm up the crowd (who in return understand absolutely nothing about the game) for the next State of Play, which will be an E3 replacement event.
The teaser is called Create the Rope. With this title, Kojima isn’t trying to make us utilise our suicidal tendencies, but instead, we have to remember what he previously said about Death Stranding. We recall something about creating connections, relationships with others, and the rope could be understood as a metaphor of this gameplay element. Therefore, we have to look at this thirty-second video like we should start opening up to each other, to begin communicating, and to begin building relationships with each other. The idea isn’t stupid at all, but we had to keep an eye on the Japanese genius’ comments regarding his game, which is almost in full secrecy.
The secrecy is intentional – even though there are rumours that Sony Interactive Entertainment is publishing the trailer today (in that case, we will definitely reuse the previous paragraph, don’t say that we did not warn you…), but at the time of writing these novels, it’s not available yet -; as we know nothing about the game. Not even the release date is communicated about this PlayStation 4-exclusive. It’s high time for us to know when can we either pull in a physical copy (or, when can find the game on the PlayStation Store).
Let’s hope they won’t just release the game out of nowhere.
