Makers of Shadow of the Colossus remake would love to continue working with Sony

They would love to work on PlayStation 5 if Sony wishes them to do so.

„We are an independent studio. The hardware we develop for is determined by the publisher who signs us. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Titanfall had Xbox 360 SKUs [stock keeping unit – in this context, we can simply say version – the ed.] for this reason. Various Sony studios have been great partners, most recently JAPAN Studio. [They were brought up because they recently helped Bluepoint with the PlayStation 4 version of Shadow of the Colossus… the ed.] We have a great relationship with them and we will be happy to continue to work with them if they wish to,” Marco Thrush, the president of Bluepoint Games, said.

We don’t understand this comment, as they already have something in the works for PlayStation 5. Castlevania, Demon’s Souls, and even Silent Hill look possible at the moment. (Silent Hill HD Collection, which was not handled by Bluepoint, contained the second and the third games, and it was terrible, partially because Konami managed to lose the final source code for both games. Good job. If they lost the source code for the first game as well, we’d not comment on that…) Demon’s Souls looks plausible, as its IP is owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment (which is why the game was exclusive to the PS3), unlike Dark Souls, which FromSoftware developed for several platforms.

And we should trust Bluepoint Games: God of War Collection (PlayStation 3), The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (PlayStation 3), Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), Flower (PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita), Titanfal (Xbox 360), Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (PlayStation 4), Gravity Rush Remastered (PlayStation 4), Shadow of the Colossus (PlayStation 4) – there’s not a single terrible game in this list…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
