The Yakuza game, which also arrives on the PS5, has already received a release window on other platforms, where it will be coming in November, just before the holiday.
SEGA released a new trailer for Yakuza: Like a Dragon today that allows those interested in the new instalment of the franchise to know that it’s dubbing in English is headed by none other than legendary George Takei (Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek), at the same time as Its launch on PS5 is confirmed, although this version will arrive months later than its premiere on PC, PS4 and Xbox systems scheduled for November.
Regarding the PlayStation 5 version, the Japanese company has not shared many details, although it has assured that an update route has been planned in the new Sony console for its western version to be presented later.
Finally, SEGA has presented the Day Ichi Edition. This version of the game is now available for pre-order for 59.99 euros, and includes as main incentives a steelbook and a DLC with character outfits so that we can customize the appearance of Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of this new story.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon promises to innovate with respect to its predecessors, as it is an RPG with very funny combat, lots of exploration and crazy racing.
What will happen after Yakuza: Like a Dragon? For now, SEGA will focus on the game’s next release in the West, while the producer of the title Masayoshi Yokoyama put the future of the Yakuza saga in the hands of fans. “The next thing we do depends on player feedback with the implementations and changes of the seventh instalment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon,” he said in March. “Whether we do a sequel or not is something that they are going to decide.”
