Sony releases a table with the list of controls, cameras and devices that will work on the console, like the DualShock 4 for PS4.

Although we do not yet know the price or the release date of the PlayStation 5, Sony continues to offer details of its next-generation console dropper; this time its official blog offers a compatibility table listing the PS4 accessories and peripherals that can be used on PS5, and in exactly what environments. The result, we anticipate, is a bit more limited than the Xbox Series X seems to offer.

The main restriction lies in the DualShock 4 controller. This will work with backwards-compatible PS4 games, and we take this opportunity to remind you that the most popular games of the present generation will also be playable in the next one; But you will not be able to use it with native PS5 games: “We think that PS5 games should take advantage of the new features and functions that we will bring to the platform, including those of the DualSense wireless controller .”

Apart from that, we will be able to play with specialized controls, such as flight levers, steering wheels or arcade panels, in both backward compatible PS4 and PS5 games; and we can also use the PS VR controllers in games of this class that can be played on the new console, new or backwards compatible.
