Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered: A Release Date For Another Electronic Arts Remaster?

Electronic Arts slowly starts to give its older games a new coat of paint – an example of it was Burnout Paradise‘s re-release.

Amazon’s United Kingdom site has listed Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. We’re not going to link them, as the listings have been taken off already. It’s too late, as we’re already writing about it. Still, they listed the re-release with a release date of November 13.

Before you grab your keyboard saying there’s no PlayStation 4 and PC version, don’t worry: Electronic Arts won’t skip these two platforms, as the original Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (which is not the same as Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit…) launched in 2010 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, iOS, Android, WebOS, and Windows Phone. Criterion Games’ project (which got some help by EA DICE and Exient Entertainment – the latter being responsible for the Wii port…) was the reboot of Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, which launched in 1998 on PS1 and PC. So they make a remaster for a reboot. Bottom of the barrel for the ideas?

Thanks for being a great customer,” we see on Reddit.

N7 = Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered. It was first listed for a September 29 release, then moved to October 30, then got a placeholder December 31, 2021 release date. Looks like it’s going to be delayed.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
