Activision Blizzard will have a few harsh words at the streamer about it, even if it was unintentional.
On Twitch, DougIsRaw streamed this year’s Call of Duty’s multiplayer for several minutes. We can’t directly link the video (the publisher keeps removing it from everywhere – it might be wiped from YouTube too…), Streamable won’t allow a full upload, so here’s a direct link just in case to the 40.6 MB video that features the 1980’s Miami. (The story will also lean into the future, as well as World War II.)
The HUD looks different, and the game mode also looks to be new, featuring a VIP escort mission. The environment mixes the beaches with some Art Deco interiors and bars, bringing that Miami vibe to perfection. The multiplayer will be cross-play, so regardless of platform and generation, you can play against the others in Activision Blizzard’s 2020 game. Scorestreak, Wildcard, Field Upgrade – these are all present. Perks: Tac Mask, Ninja, Tracker, Flak Jacket, Quartermaster. Weapons: M16, MP5, Stoner 63, lAK-74U, SPAS-12.
„Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature cross-generation cross-play support, with cross-progression for all players to play together. [It] will also offer a Battle Pass system and deliver a steady stream of post-launch content, including multiplayer maps and modes, Zombies experiences, along with a robust schedule of in-game community events. [It] includes shared progression features with Warzone, adding inventory items that can be used in both titles. Plus, Warzone players will still have access to Modern Warfare content they earned previously, like Operators and weapon blueprints. More information on Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will be announced at a later date,” the press release said about the multiplayer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer will be revealed on September 9 in detail. The game will launch on November 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Battle.net). By then, the Xbox Series X (and Xbox Series S?) might be out (November 6?), and the PlayStation 5 will either launch on November 13 or November 20.
