PlayStation apologizes for PS5 preorder mess and announces more consoles will be available soon

It has also been emphasized that more PlayStation 5 will be available during the remainder of the year.

This week, PlayStation finally announced the release date and price for PlayStation 5. Many players wanted to jump into buying one of the two versions, but they sold out quickly. Sony did not give due notice of when the reservations would open and the stores were free, with the discomfort that this produced in the users. It currently costs a lot to reserve one.

Such was the mess with the reservations, that even Xbox joked about this situation, stating that they would give advance notice. Well, PlayStation has made a statement through Twitter, apologizing for how this event that we discussed has occurred. Besides, he has assured that more units will arrive soon to reserve and that there will be more consoles during the year.

“Let’s be honest: PS5 pre-orders could have been a lot easier. We apologize for that. Over the next few days, we will release more PlayStation 5 consoles for pre-order; stores will share more details. And more PS5s will be available until the end of the year.”, reads the full statement.

This can help players stay a bit calmer, as more units are available to reserve, more users will have access to the console on the day of departure. Still, Amazon has been warning some people who have reserved that the console may not arrive at launch due to the high demand that Sony’s new machine is having.
