In return, we see some PlayStation 5 gameplay, plus we received the exact release dates and the PC system requirements.
SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (the latter’s name is the Japanese name of the Yakuza series) announced that ONLY the PlayStation 5 version got the short end of the stick, possibly because Microsoft paid SEGA to make Yakuza: Like A Dragon (which itself is the seventh main title in the series, as it does have the number 7 in Japan) a timed exclusive on the next-gen consoles, will launch on November 10 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
So it’s coming a few days earlier… except the PlayStation 5: Sony’s next-gen console will receive Ichiban Kasuga’s story on March 2! SEGA also confirmed that those who buy a PlayStation 4 physical copy of Yakuza: Like A Dragon will also have the option to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free. However, PS4 saves cannot be used on PS5. The PlayStation 5 port will cost 60 dollars.
SEGA also confirmed the system requirements for the PC port:
- Minimum system requirements:
- A 64-bit processor and operating system are required
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version mentioned)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-8350, or better
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870, or better
- VRAM: 2 GB
- Storage: 40 GB available space
Recommended system requirements:
- A 64-bit processor and operating system are required
- Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version mentioned)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400, or better
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580, or better
- VRAM: 3 GB (Nvidia) or 4 GB (AMD)
- Storage: 40 GB available space
And SEGA doesn’t mention it, but since the game is likely going to get „a bonus” in the shape of Denuvo DRM, a constant Internet connection will also be required because the DRM wants to call home. Yakuza: Like A Dragon will arrive on November 10 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while the PlayStation 5 port drops on March 2.
