Scorn: Fourteen Minutes Of Bizarreness [VIDEO]

We can see nearly a quarter-hour of Ebb Software‘s game, and the reaction to it is still just shocked silence.

You have to see it, it is that bizarre – Scorn looks serious going by the video below, but it still has the possibility of taking it a little too far, which would, in turn, activate the cringe factor that makes us hiss in shock at a cutscene, but laugh right after it. Agony was also a similarly „edgy” game, but we still believe that this atmospheric first-person horror title could be a somewhat held back, but an enjoyable adventure that still has H. R. Giger’s style all over the place.

„Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and sombre tapestry. It is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself. Every location contains its theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game, you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.

Scorn takes place in an open-ended world with different interconnected regions. Each region is a maze-like structure with various rooms and paths to discover. All the storytelling happens in-game, with no cut-scenes to distract you from the grisly reality of the living, breathing world you’re in. But keep your eyes open—the game won’t show you any sympathy if you miss something important on your uneasy travels. Everything has a reason and purpose – you just need to work out what it is,” the game’s Steam page says.

Scorn is set to launch next year on Xbox Series X and PC (Steam). It will also be part of the (Xbox) Game Pass Ultimate.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
