Sony has published what games were the most purchased on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.
As the North American and the European regions tend to differ quite a lot, we’re going to take a look at both of the lists.
PlayStation 5 – North America
- FIFA 21
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Madden NFL 21
- NBA 2K21
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Hitman III
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Demon’s Souls
PlayStation 5 – Europe
- FIFA 21
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Hitman III
- Demon’s Souls
- Borderlands 3
- Madden NFL 21
The first and the third spot were taken by the same two games in both regions, but it’s surprising to see soccer to be so popular in North America. The PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man: Miles Morales was topped by Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla in Europe and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in North America, respectively. (CoD reached 4th place here, while AC finished in 6th across the pond.) Rainbow Six: Siege, Demon’s Souls, Mortal Kombat 11 and Hitman III are all hits in both regions.
PlayStation 4 – North America
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Minecraft
- NBA 2K21
- Little Nightmares 2
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- FIFA 21
- Persona 5 Strikers
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Ark: Survival Evolved
PlayStation 4 – Europe
- FIFA 21
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Minecraft
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- Tekken 7
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Little Nightmares 2
- Ark: Survival Evolved
- Rainbow Six Siege
The newest FIFA was a success in Europe on PlayStation 4, too, but it didn’t reach the top 5 in the North American region. Aside from this title, the usual suspects are in the front (Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War), but after these, there are some changes. The free-to-play games were led by Call of Duty: Warzone, while it was followed by Rocket League and Fortnite in Europe, they swapped places in North America.
What a soccer February…
