The wait is over. 343 Industries has finally confirmed when the long-awaited multiplayer beta of the long-awaited Halo Infinite begins, and the good news is that it kicks off in a matter of days. Some of the lucky ones who have been invited to participate in this trial period have started receiving emails with the beta start date, which will take place from July 29 to August 1.
In this first wave, there will be ” hundreds of thousands ” of players who requested access to the beta through the Halo Insider program, but the intention is that “if everything goes well”, the number of fans will grow over the weeks. “We want to start with a reasonable number of players before going much further, but our goal is for all eligible Halo Insider users to be able to play Halo Infinite,” reports the 343 Industries team. It is important to emphasize that this is a technical test that seeks to gather information about the performance of the game on different hardware.
“Remember, if you are not chosen at this time, do not despair: there will be more opportunities in the future,” add the authors of the promising Halo Infinite. But the news does not end here, since today there will be a special broadcast about the game in which we will see a “first look at the technical preview” of the game, with those responsible for talking about what they are doing and, if selected, how to participate in this trial period. The broadcast will start at 11:00 p.m. on July 28 ( check the schedule by country ).
Those lucky enough to enjoy this beta will be able to share images and videos of their games with other users. This beta has also been confirmed to be “a few months” older than the version 343 Industries is currently working on, so players can expect to run into some issues and bugs that would already be resolved by the development team.
If you haven’t already done so, chances are you’re wondering right now: what should I do to participate in these Halo Infinite betas? The bottom line: Signing up for the Halo Insider program, which is available on PC and Xbox, and is completely free. But you must be over 18 years of age and you must also accept a confidentiality clause stating that you will not be able to share data about surveys and other information published on that platform unless expressly allowed to do so.
You may meet all the requirements and be accepted into the Halo Infinite beta program but that does not mean that you will immediately receive an invitation to the beta. 343 Industries already warned that it would select the players according to specific objectives, so you may not be selected in one of these waves, and you will be in successive waves. To calm your cravings for Halo, we remind you that just a few weeks ago, within the framework of E3 2021, we had abundant information regarding the Halo Infinite multiplayer and its battle passes.
