The Guerrilla Games team confirms their fans’ fears: their new adventure, Horizon: Forbidden West will be released in 2022.
The worst fears of PlayStation fans came true during Gamescom 2021. The Guerrilla Games team has confirmed that its highly anticipated Horizon: Forbidden West delays its launch to 2022 due to the Dutch team’s problematic situation due to the health crisis that has affected the whole world.
It was practically taken for granted for a few weeks that the sequel to Horizon would be delayed to 2022, and today it is official. Aloy’s new open-world action-adventure will be released on PlayStation 5 and PS4 on February 18, 2022. On the other hand, reservations will be available from September 2, 2021.
“Although the decision to delay the release of the game to 2022 has not been easy, we would like to take a moment to thank all our fans for their unconditional support; we are aware of how much you look forward to meeting Aloy and her friends, to retake its history and to explore a new world and more dangerous if possible “, informs the Guerrilla Games team through the PlayStation blog.
To “compensate” for this delay, the authors of Killzone have confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn has just released a patch to improve its performance on PlayStation 5 . This free update will allow you to enjoy the game at 60FPS.
