Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles – New Trailer

Sega and developer CyberConnect2 have released a new gameplay trailer for their latest game called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles.

The game covers the first season of the anime, and the movie is called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train – so if you have not seen the anime, this will be a perfect jumping point for a new player. The story is an abridged version of the first season and the movie, and the gameplay is a boss rush mode.

The game’s single-player story mode follows Tanjiro Kamado, the series’ protagonist, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and faces off against various demons in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human. The story features some exploration elements and is told through various cutscenes and boss battles with demons seen in the anime series.

CyberConnect 2 have also confirmed that there will be post-release support for the title. Six playable demons will join the roster via a series of three free post-launch updates—two demons per update—and that the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions will receive 60 frames per second performance mode via an update that will specifically feature 60 frames per second gameplay, however, cutscenes will still be unfortunately 30 frames per second.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 15 worldwide.
