More people play Left 4 Dead 2 than Back 4 Blood. According to the numbers on Steam, Turtle Rock’s latest project has beaten its 12-year-old predecessor!
Back 4 Blood, the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, again invoked all the players who enjoyed the cooperative deliveries developed by the Turtle Rock studio. Although this new instalment reached 6 million players after two weeks of its launch, the situation has changed slightly. Although many people enjoy Steam, the number of active players in Left 4 Dead 2 is higher.
Right now, according to the Steam database, the title released in 2009 has approximately 4,000 more players than the just-released instalment at this writing. In the case of the same study, after both games, Turtle Rock is the one who, in the end, it benefits twice, thanks to its faithful community.
Why does this happen? The answer could be in the Halloween sales on Steam, as Left 4 Dead 2 went down to an almost free price. However, there is also the possibility that, in a certain way, Back 4 Blood has generated curiosity and interest in Left 4 Dead, which is more accessible financially. But all this is a mere assumption.
This curiosity does not take away the credit for the new title because if you took a look at our analysis of the game, you would know that Back 4 Blood still retains the charismatic formula of Turtle Rock. Even with the legend that is Left 4 Dead today, this new title continues to be ideal for fans of shooter and action in a zombie apocalypse.
