The video game Stars Of Blood was never officially presented, although its existence was confirmed back in the time.
Veterans gamers may remember it; Valve was developing a unique pirate video game for a time. The idea did not catch on enough to be shown to the public, leaving users intrigued. However, several conceptual images have appeared that allow a broader picture of what was wanted with this Stars of Blood.
Specifically, there are four concept-art, undiscovered in Valvearchive, shared by Obscure Game Aesthetics this weekend on Twitter, showing futuristic urban landscapes with cyberpunk touches and others with a more desert setting, in the line of Arrakis de Dune or Tatooine from Star Wars. Being a space pirate video game, we can conclude that the images may correspond to different worlds, each with its own setting.

The video game was never officially presented, and its existence was only confirmed in 2012 by Gabe Newell himself to announce its cancellation. “We had an internal project called Stars of Blood, which was a space pirate game and never saw the light of day, ” he stated in an interview with users.
Based on the images, it does not appear that its development advanced much before its cancellation. Luckily, space exploration continues to be a suitable theme for many teams in the industry, including Bethesda, which this coming year will launch Starfield exclusively for PC, Xbox Series and Xbox Game Pass.
