MOVIE NEWS – Among the big reveals of Disney+ Day, Tatiana Maslany is seen for the first time as Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk.
We finally got a glimpse of the She-Hulk series with a new teaser unveiled for Disney+ Day. The official logo for the series has also been revealed, with the She-Hulk branding appearing against a city skyline.
The teaser features Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a “not-that-normal” lawyer: a bit of a rookie but unapologetic when it comes to fighting crime. The trailer even includes a warning not to piss her off; she’s also seen after a transformation and in “superhero costume”. Mark Ruffalo also returns as the Hulk (so much for appearing as a teenager in the series), explaining that the transformation is triggered by “anger and fear”. Walters will be seen in court for much of the series, as he uses his legal skills to win battles in addition to his superpowers.
Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, receives a blood transfusion from Bruce after an accident to save her life, giving her similar superpowers. Alongside Maslany (Jennifer) and Ruffalo (Bruce), She-Hulk also sees the return of Tim Roth, who reprises his role as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk. The series also stars Jameela Jamil as Titania, along with Josh Segarra, Anais Almonte and Renee Elise Goldsberry.
Kat Coiro and Anu Valia will direct She-Hulk, with Jessica Gao as the lead writer. The series will consist of ten episodes, and is expected to have multiple seasons if this first season is a hit with viewers. She-Hulk will premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
