The age rating often hints at an upcoming release, as a game is mainly rated in a near-complete form. The collection, containing Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, isn’t an exception to this rule either.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, announced in September, got recently rated by Australia’s rating board, followed by the American ESRB. Let’s see how they described the collection of the two Naughty Dog titles: “This is a collection of two action-adventure games in the Uncharted franchise. Players assume the roles of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazier, explorers searching for valuable artefacts while fending off villainous rivals. Players explore ruins, collect treasure, and battle enemy soldiers and other human characters from a third-person perspective.
Characters use pistols, machine guns, shotguns, grenades, and blades to attack each other; combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and blood-splatter effects. Some areas allow players to use stealth takedowns and/or melee attacks (e.g., neck-snapping, fist fighting, sword fighting) to incapacitate enemies. A handful of sequences depict characters getting stabbed or beaten with clubs; some scenes depict corpses or wounded characters with bloodstained skin/clothes. During the game, characters can be seen smoking cigarettes or cigars; a handful of scenes show characters drinking beer bottles or scotch glasses. The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” appear in the dialogue.”
At the moment, all we know is that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released for PlayStation 5 sometime in early 2022, and probably only after that will there be a PC version because we wouldn’t expect Sony to release the PS5 and PC port at the same time. After all, it’s financially more advantageous for them to release the game on their console first, as they are trying to attract the community from Steam to the PlayStation Store…
But let’s guess: announcement at The Game Awards (because that’s coming up in two weeks), release sometime in February, because more and more games are planning to launch then. The GeForce Now leak hints at a February 7 release date…
