Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Reshoots Reportedly Include More Cameos And Winks

MOVIE NEWS – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reshoots are a result of Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home as rumours say

With Spider-Man: No Way Home now in cinemas, it’s time to set our sights on May 2022 and the next cinematic chapter of the MCU: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As we knew, and as usual with Marvel films, the crew returned to the set a few weeks ago for “major reshoots”. Nothing to worry about, as we have already said that it is very common to return to the set months before the premiere to polish details or add scenes once it has been seen on the editing table what the film is missing or what doesn’t work.

The Doctor Strange sequel finished its reshoots this week, and the Hollywood Reporter has new details on what’s in the reshoots. If you’re fans of what’s going on with the multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’re going to love this. They say that these reshoots would have included “more cameos and character introductions” in the film in the wake of the success of ‘Loki’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, especially the whole variant character thing we learned about in the Tom Hiddleston-starring series. Marvel would have wanted to “play more with the multiverse” and alternate versions of characters we know.

Who will we see differently or who will be dropped into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? It’s still too early to tell. At the moment, it’s clear that we’ll see Benedict Cumberbatch dealing with the mess he unleashed with the spell in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and seeking help from Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Wong (Benedict Wong), Christine (Rachel McAdams) and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) will also return. And we will meet Xochitl Gomez, the actress chosen to play America Chavez, a young woman with the ability to create portals to other dimensions. If you’re sitting in your seat when you go to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, a first look at the film awaits you in the credits.

Sam Raimi’s film opens in cinemas on 6 May 2022. That will be followed by Thor: Love and Thunder, which is set for release on 8 July. The last Marvel film we’ll see next year will be Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which hits theatres on 11 November.
