Two Games’ Release Date Have Leaked?

The PlayStation database might have unveiled a couple of dates prematurely.

Let’s start with the title that stands much closer to PlayStation: God of War: Ragnarok will be Sony Interactive Entertainment Santa Monica’s next game. We’re nearly 100% sure about it coming nearly four and a half years for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 after the previous title (which launched on April 20, 2018, on PlayStation 4).

PlayStation Game Size announced on Twitter that, according to Sony’s PlayStation Store database, God of War: Ragnarok could launch on September 30, but the account believes it is a placeholder date. However, this day falls on a Friday, similarly to when the previous God of War title arrived. It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence that the Kratos-Atreus duo’s story is set to continue on the fifth day of the week.

God of War: Ragnarok is set about three years after the previous events. Atreus has grown up (and not just physically, but also in his father’s eyes; remember how Kratos called him “boy” for most of the story, except at the end of the adventure, calling him “son”), and he must face his true identity. Kratos and Atreus will go through the Nordic mythology’s Nine Realms while also running into several Norse gods, such as Thor and Freya.

Another game that PlayStation Game Size mentioned on Twitter is Sonic Frontiers. Again, naming it a placeholder date, it might arrive on November 15, a Tuesday. That means it could be more than a temporary date once again for the cross-gen (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) title. SEGA has said the following about the next Sonic title:

“Sonic Frontiers is a huge leap forward for the franchise, delivering an evolved gameplay experience that can be enjoyed by longtime Sonic fans and action-adventure enthusiasts alike. With the effort of the talented developers at Sonic Team Japan, we’ve created an all-new style of gameplay experience for Sonic the Hedgehog, where players will be able to explore lush and expansive landscapes with Sonic’s signature speed and abilities. There’s sure to be lots of twists and turns around every corner in Sonic Frontiers, and we’re excited to unveil more information about the game over the coming months.”

None of this is official yet.
