Project SAS has been in development for five years, but don’t expect to find out what it’s all about by watching the latest video
“It’s been 40 years since the story that happened in the game.” This statement and a video full of images, in effect, from decades past is the only information we have at the moment about Project SAS (temporary name), a role-playing adventure signed by the team at NEKCOM Games Co., authors of the still-in-development Dying: 1983.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to know more details about the production. What we do know, for the moment, is that Project SAS (temporary name) has been in development for five years, so it is possible to think that its release is quite close in time. The developers promise an announcement on 6 January.
In the shared video, we can see several classic scenes from the early ’80s, which are now 40 years old, but nothing that allows us to get an idea of the exact setting, whether it will be a realistic RPG or if it will be a different approach.
We do have more information on Dying: 1983. The Wuhan, China-based team unveiled this new adventure in the DYING: Reborn universe for PC and PS5 a little over a year ago, guaranteeing to multiply the size of the original’s story and challenges. For now, the release date of the horror video game is unknown.
