With another month behind Sony, it’s time to announce the games that PlayStation Plus subscribers can get for free in return for their subscription.
But first, let’s start with the rumour. French site Dealabs seems to have been a little quieter this year, as it’s been telling us more than once what PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players who pay for unlimited online multiplayer can add to their digital game library as an extra for their subscription. This time, the rumour from them surfaced earlier today, and so far, it’s always been true, so let’s see what they say…
The post goes like this: “Hello or good evening, everyone. I recently got interested in ARK: Survival Evolved and Team Sonic Racing and still want to buy them to play on my PlayStation 5. Knowing that I don’t have any money, I hesitate to buy them. In the end, maybe I’ll wait until the beginning of next month. Thank you for your support.” The post implicitly describes two-thirds of the list of typically three games. So ARK: Survival Evolved and Sonic Team Racing? If what we read on the French site is accurate, what is the third game?
Well, we have a surprise: there aren’t three games on the list but four: ARK: Survival Evolved (PlayStation 4), Team Sonic Racing (PlayStation 4), Ghostrunner (PlayStation 5; not for PlayStation 4!), and the title that is considered as a bonus, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 – if you own Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut digitally, you will not receive it). The games will be available until April 4.
But there’s still time to catch up with February’s offerings before Monday, so in the meantime, EA Sports’ UFC 4 (PlayStation 4), Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure (PlayStation 4; not for PlayStation 5) and Planet Coaster: Console Edition (PlayStation 5; not for PlayStation 4) are still available.
So the Dealabs leak was valid once again, although not entirely. The Ark/Sonic pair is listed as PS4 titles, but backwards compatibility will let you play them on PS5.
