Dave Grohl dived in a rather bizarre place and we can only hope that this does not reflect the star’s bathing habits.
Dave Grohl was in everything. He was a fantastic, tough drummer for Nirvana, a singer for the Foo Fighters, played in Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and was associated with many other bands. The rocker has also written a bestselling book and has a brand new horror film, Studio 666, which is already on display in cinemas. Obviously, the stories you can tell would fill several books, but this one takes it all. Grohl said he went swimming in one of the most infamous crime scenes in American history, where the Manson family killed Sharon Tate.
How did he get into this house?
In a recent interview with Leonie Cooper. the singer talks about the film, but more importantly, a creepy story that helped inspire the film. Dave Grohl Washington D.C. she grew up in the suburbs and met regularly with friends at a legendary local landmark. Grohl and his friends spent the evenings in the house where one of the greatest horror films of all time, The Exorcist, was shot. “I spent a lot of time hanging around the stairs,” Grohl explained. “There was a liquor store next door called Dixie Liquor and they sold beer to teenagers. So when we were little punks, we just bought a big box of Foster’s and listened to punk rock, sat down on the stairs, and rocked over the weekend. ”
The idea for the band to create and feature their own horror film is not surprising. However, all his love for scary, weird, and perhaps distorted things takes it one step further. Grohl was the drummer for the band Nirvana and they went home. The dark history of the famous house, located at 10050 Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles, is tied to the Manson family.
“When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horror and I knew all about the Manson family and those murders,” he explains. “Then in the summer of ’92, I was in California with a friend in this little house without air conditioning. “The two friends are looking for a different swimming pool every day to cope with the scorching heat. One day the friend made a particularly strange decision to take a dip in cold water.” My friend called and said, Guess where we are swimming today? The house where the Manson family killed Sharon Tate. “It wasn’t the big experience Grohl expected.” It was so dark, “he said 30 years after the most creepy pool party of all time.” about him: to walk into that house, he made it right. And this house has not changed; front door, living room. It was designed. They pulled it up legally. Not cool at all. ”
The new film is based on the story of Grohl. Studio 666 was also inspired by the shock movies of the seventies and classic movies like The Beatles’ Help! and Head by The Monkees. Recording music in a terrible place is nothing new; in the early ’90s, Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails arrived at the Los Angeles house where Sharon Tate and four others were assassinated by Charles Manson and his group. There, their second album was completed and they recorded some of their tracks, which will also be on the third. Tickets and showtimes can be found on the official website of Studio 666.
