Is “Project Ragtag” Coming Back?! Amy Hennig Is Making A New Star Wars Game

It looks like Amy Hennig won’t have to let go of Project Ragtag after all, as it was announced earlier this week that a new Star Wars game is in the works, which is described as being quite similar to the creator’s previous idea.

Uncharted’s creator, Amy Hennig is working on a new Star Wars game at her Skydance Media studio. The director had previously come up with the idea for a game called “Project Ragtag”, which could have been an exciting Star Wars spinoff, but Visceral, the studio that would have been home to the game, has since been shut down by EA.

However, Amy Hennig is back with a new game in development and the announcement is not all! Thanks to a reliable insider, a whole lot of information has leaked out about the new project (codenamed “Project Walton”), which shows that the new game is quite identical to the idea behind the previous “Project Ragtag”.

“Project Walton” will be set in the classic Star Wars period, during the Rebel Alliance, before the events of the Empire Strikes Back. It will feature Dodger Boon taking on the likes of Jabba the Hutt with his team, and will take us to places like a “floating palace of pleasure”, a swamp-covered planet and the remains of the Alderaan asteroid belt. As for gameplay, you’ll be dealing with Dodger blasters and a whip/clutching hook-like weapon. The story may also feature a female protagonist, Robie Matox.

Given that it’s an Amy Hennig game, it’s no wonder that it sounds similar to Uncharted. The director has undoubtedly set the bar high with her blockbuster hit, but it would not be surprising if “Project Walton” could match the success of Uncharted. It has not been officially confirmed that the new game will be the same as the previous “Project Ragtag”, but AccountNgt reports that it is likely to be.

It is not yet known what platforms Amy Hennig’s new game will be released on, or when it will be released. In the meantime, we are eagerly awaiting more details.
