The “Burning Sky” update includes new weather effects, weapons, vehicles, and a mission editor.
Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software have announced the release of a major “Burning Sky” update for Enlisted, an online World War II shooting game. The upgrade includes missile tanks, new types of weapons and equipment in all five campaigns, new weather effects, new missions with a new “Confrontation” game mode, and a mission editor.
The American Calliope rocket tank is basically the legendary M4 Sherman tank with a 114mm rocket launcher on top. With this, players can quickly change the position of the enemy army into a burning hell, and the cannon will help them deal with enemy vehicles. Its German counterpart, the Panzerwerfer, uses 42 lightly armored platforms and is also equipped with a machine gun suitable for combating infantry. Finally, the BM-8-24 is known as Katyusha, but with smaller missiles and a T-60 light tank chassis that allows it to operate in the front line.
Other new weapons and equipment include, for example, the ABC-36 and StG-44 automatic rifles with sniper rifles, the Mosina M91 / 30 and the Kar98k, which are grenade launchers, the Finnish submachine gun, the Mosquito FB.Mk.VI and the Breda 88 ( P.XI) what are fighters and much more.
In the new “Confrontation” mode, both teams are actively attacking and trying to move the dynamic front line. You can play in defense and peacefully destroy advancing enemy units, or rely on a powerful all-in frontal attack and smash the enemy in your fortress. In addition, new missions have been added to each campaign – such as the Cornfields surrounded by Village La Perelle in Normandy and the gloomy “Railway Bridge” in the suburbs of Berlin.
With this update, players have access to the mission editor along with Enlisted on the PC (missions created by other users can also be played on consoles). It is now possible to select any location and change it beyond recognition, then create the quest itself by changing the landscape, moving it, adding and deleting objects. The editor allows players to not only manipulate spawn zones, earn points and their settings, but also modify mission rules. For example, you can create a quest on a large map in which players fight in multiple cities. Custom quests will be available on a special Mod Portal that will start at the same time as the upgrade. There, players can show off their creativity and try out the missions of others.
Finally, the game has several weather effects. Now the battle can take place at sunset, with the soft light of the setting sun, or on a clear cloudless day, during a storm, snowstorm, or sandstorm. Thanks to new rain and lightning effects and new cloud technology, bad weather seems more realistic.
