Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is experiencing visual issues on PS5, and Ubisoft is investigating these issues despite recently deleting a tweet about it.
Many people are currently paying attention to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The franchise is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary and will also hold a presentation about its future in September. However, several Assassin’s Creed games are also reportedly joining PS Plus Extra this month. All this at a time when the conversations surrounding Assassin’s Creed Black Flag are heating up around the unveiling of Skull and Bones, while some fans are still questioning Ubisoft about the performance of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS5 and the graphical bugs appearing on this platform.
It should be noted that the aforementioned PS Plus Extra rumour only lists a few games coming this month, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is not included. This could be because fans know that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is problematic on PS5. Neither Ubisoft nor Sony wants to release a game on the service that has performance issues, but that may happen later if Ubisoft fixes it.
Indeed, Assassin’s Creed Syndicates struggles from a graphical and technical point of view when played on PS5. Fans have been asking Ubisoft to fix this issue, to which the company has recently responded to. Specifically, it said that “the team is aware of some visual issues in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS5 and is working on a fix as soon as possible. We don’t have an update yet, but please stay tuned for news on this.”
Perhaps strangely, Ubisoft Support recently deleted this message, although it should be noted that this is not a new response. Ubisoft Support has been saying this for months; even in February 2022, there were some tweets on the matter. It’s weird, but you must remember that even a big company like Ubisoft has finite resources.
For example, despite fans begging for an update to Assassin’s Creed Origins for PS5 and Xbox Series X for a long time, it took Ubisoft months to fulfil their requests. So it’s not strange that a patch for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate isn’t available yet, but the deletion of the latest tweet about the matter is a bit weird. This is an older game, which means that its support may not be given the same priority as other titles. Likely, the repair is still in progress.
Either way, if Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gets patched, it’s a safe bet that it will make its way to PS Plus Extra. Ubisoft’s September reveal about the franchise’s future will likely encourage some fans to pick up older games again.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
