A new report on Rockstar Games’ GTA VI potentially reveals some of the game’s post-launch plans.
A recent report from Bloomberg has revealed several details about GTA VI and what the new game will include. One of the most exciting details shown in the notification is about Rockstar’s post-launch plans for Grand Theft Auto VI. Assuming that Bloomberg’s information is accurate, it appears that Rockstar Games will be “regularly” adding new cities to Grand Theft Auto VI after launch.
Grand Theft Auto games have never added new cities after launch, so this would be huge.
It would also boost the longevity and replayability factor of Grand Theft Auto VI so that fans can stick around until Grand Theft Auto VII is finally finished. But while Rockstar Games will reportedly add more cities and missions to GTA VI after launch, Bloomberg’s report also details what cities will be available in the base game.
It’s long been rumoured that Grand Theft Auto VI will be set in Vice City, and Bloomberg’s report backs up those claims, though instead of outright stating that the following location will be Vice City, it refers to it as a “fictionalized version of Miami.”
There are more exciting details in Bloomberg’s Grand Theft Auto VI report. At one point, it appeared that Grand Theft Auto VI would include North and South America, which was in line with some previous leaks. However, it seems that plans have changed and Rockstar Games has scaled back its plans for the scope of GTA VI. The game will reportedly feature a female protagonist for the first time in the series’ history, with a release date set for 2024.
If Grand Theft Auto VI’s release date is set for 2024, fans will only have to wait a few more years to get their hands on the game finally. However, it’s always possible that things could change during development that could push the release date for GTA VI back, so we’ll have to keep that in mind.
