Conan O’Brien has officially announced the return of his Clueless Gamer series, in which the comedian pokes fun at popular games.
Popular broadcaster Conan O’Brien has announced the return of his popular web series Clueless Gamer. The former Saturday Night Live writer and Conan host have enjoyed considerable success on YouTube with his series on gaming. In it, he poked fun at cool games like Overwatch and The Last of Us. O’Brien has also regularly featured high-profile guests such as Tony Hawk and Seth Rogen. It was their job to guide Conan through the games. Now O’Brien has officially confirmed the return of the game videos.
The revival of Clueless Gamer comes as O’Brien has shifted his focus from television to streaming platforms and his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend.
Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco unveiled the return of Clueless Gamer late last week. It has been revealed that the talk show and podcast host is already preparing two game reviews. The comedian tests FuturLab’s PowerWash Simulator. And he’ll be reviewing Asobo Studio’s recently released A Plague Tale: Requiem. The video confirms that both games will be playable via a Samsung TV. They are showcasing Xbox Cloud Gaming on the device. As with previous Clueless Gamer videos, each review showcases O’Brien’s unique humour.
The return of Clueless Gamer has also revealed that O’Brien will be joined by a returning guest for the PowerWash Simulator and A Plague Tale: Requiem. Aaron Bleyaert will join Conan O’Brien in the latest episodes of the show. Bleyaert is a series staple who has appeared in several previous segments. During Clueless Gamer, he acts as O’Brien’s guide, teaching him how to control each game and helping him play. Bleyaert is also the host of Team Coco’s Good Game, Nice Try podcast, where O’Brien is a regular guest.
Fans of Conan O’Brien will likely be pleased to see his comedy game series return, as the episodes are some of Team Coco’s most popular videos.
O’Brien’s review of Grand Theft Auto 5 and the Mortal Kombat X video featuring NFL players Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski reached 19 million views on YouTube. Other videos focusing on games, such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, also exceeded 10 million views. The return of Clueless Gamer will bring many laughs to fans of both the featured games and Conan O’Brien.
