The range of games available via the Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been updated with two new games.
Microsoft has updated the game selection of Xbox Game Pass again, so subscribers can play something new in the cloud, on Xbox consoles and on PC. The new games added today are the final two games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of December, with one more title coming on December 15th. At that point, Microsoft will likely take the wraps off Game Pass games coming in the second half of December, but fans will want to stay tuned for more information on that.
On December 15, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be treated to Rainbow Billy: Curse of the Leviathan, which will be playable on PC, in the cloud, and on consoles. But before Rainbow Billy joins the Xbox Game Pass lineup, subscribers can try out two fresh games, both of which are brand new Day One releases.
Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play High on Life via the cloud on Xbox consoles and PC, as well as Potion Craft, which is available on both consoles and PC, but its cloud version is not currently available . High on Life is the latest work from Squanch Games, the game development studio founded by Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland. High on Life has a lot in common with Roiland’s other works: players can explore bizarre sci-fi worlds filled to the brim with nutty characters and meta humor.

High on Life has had mixed reviews, but that makes it the perfect Game Pass game, really. If you are unsure, you can try it relatively cheaply through the Game Pass subscription and decide for yourself whether you like it or not. Those who like Roiland’s comedic style seem to have walked away from High on Life impressed, while those who find his humor annoying aren’t as amused.
Potion Craft, meanwhile, is a game that’s been in Early Access since last year, but is just now getting ready for full release. Potion Craft is a so-called “alchemist simulator” in which players create potions. Potion Craft’s early access release was relatively well received on PC, so now console gamers can try it out to see if it lives up to expectations.
Although many new games were added to Xbox Game Pass in December, it is worth noting that the service will soon lose some titles. Xbox Game Pass is removing 11 games from its offer on December 15th, so subscribers should keep this in mind.
