Ubisoft Blue Byte has given a release date for Anno 1800 Console Edition.

Already available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Stor), Anno 1800 will be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in two months. Those who pre-order the game from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store will receive a digital copy of the game’s art book and soundtrack, as well as the Imperial and Console Founder packs as an extra with the Anno 1800 Console Edition.

Here’s the game’s overview: “Welcome to the dawn of the Industrial Age in this city-building real-time strategy game. Experience one of the most exciting and fast-changing periods of all time as you discover new technologies, regions, and societies, implement your strategy and build a new world to your design. Play solo or use the online mode to play player-versus-player or cooperative modes: How the world remembers your name is up to you.

Prove your skills as you create huge cities, plan logistic networks, settle lush new continents, send out expeditions around the globe, and dominate opponents through diplomacy, trade, or warfare. Build your empire by constructing large metropolises, managing a thriving economy, and protecting your creations from others. You’ll need to learn to adapt to any situation to guide your cities to prosperity. [The game] includes a story-based campaign, customizable sandbox mode, and a multiplayer experience. It’s a little unusual to see a game of this genre on consoles. Still, other examples can be cited immediately, such as Tropico 6 or Cities: Skylines, which is much closer to the Anno franchise (essentially different only in terms of era, as it’s not set at the dawn of the 19th century). Anno 1800 Console Edition will be available from March 16 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
