Dead Space Remake’s Performance Issues Even on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090!

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 cannot run Dead Space Remake at a constant 60fps at native 4K/Ultra settings.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is currently the most powerful GPU available on the market, and it was touted as a true 4K GPU upon its release. However, Dead Space Remake has proven to be a challenge for the RTX 4090, as it struggles to maintain a constant 60fps at native 4K with Ultra Settings.

It’s worth noting that the game does not suffer from any shader compilation stutters and performance improves once inside USG Ishimura. However, there are still some scenes, such as Necromorph attacks, where the framerate drops below 60fps.

To achieve high resolutions, players may need to rely on NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2. The game also supports Ray Tracing Ambient Occlusion. One downside is the lack of a FOV slider, which may cause discomfort while playing on a TV.

It’s also worth mentioning that The Callisto Protocol, a game that has received criticism for its performance, runs better than Dead Space Remake. Without RT effects, The Callisto Protocol only drops to 63fps at native 4K/Ultra Settings, while Dead Space Remake can drop to 50fps on the RTX 4090. Additionally, The Callisto Protocol’s visuals are also considered to be better.

In conclusion, Dead Space Remake is not unoptimized, but it does present a challenge for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. It’s important to note that the performance of one game should not be compared to another and judged unfairly.
