Given that the source has been reliable for the last year, you can believe that in two days, on February 1, Sony will confirm these three games and… a DLC?
Once again, days before the official announcement, billlbil-kun known from Dealabs, has revealed which games Sony will allow each PlayStation Plus subscriber to add to their account for free. For the last year or so, we’ve almost always heard from him before Sony’s usual Wednesday afternoon announcement before the first Tuesday of the month (sometimes it slips into the next month, like this time, on February 1), what’s coming next month. Since the leaks have been spot on so far, we can believe the list.
According to the leak, this month’s headliner game will be Evil Dead: The Game for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. We’ve about forgotten about this game, so maybe that shows how much interest there has been in it. Then, the next title is excellent, but this one is in the indie category: it’s OlliOlli World, also coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The third game might be different in some regions (most likely Saudi Arabia, for example): Mafia: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4. The fourth title will be a DLC, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Strangely, it’s not The Witch Queen being given away, while Lightfall is due for release in February.
The games can be added to your account from February 7 to March 6. You’ll have access as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. Of course, the offer isn’t official yet, but we’ll add a sentence on Wednesday afternoon to confirm that Sony has confirmed it. It’s an average offering, and we’ve seen better. Still, as the company is focusing more on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium (admittedly, it’s starting to slow down there too, and there may only be 10-12 games a month coming in, and the same number going out from now on), it may just be the bare minimum ‘the blues’ are bringing.
