Valve’s hybrid handheld system, Steam Deck, has verified that the upcoming game “Like a Dragon: Ishin” will be compatible with its platform. The Steam page for the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s remake of the game confirms the compatibility. This particular game is a spin-off of the “Like a Dragon” franchise, set in Japan’s Bakamatsu era, featuring the main character Sakamoto Ryoma who is searching for his father’s killer. The remake of “Like a Dragon: Ishin” marks the first time it will be available in the West after being a Japan-exclusive for nearly 9 years, and also its multiplatform debut, being available on Xbox, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Compatibility with Steam Deck means that the game will be playable on the hybrid handheld console, with the Steam Deck buttons appearing during gameplay and the in-game interface being legible on the smaller screen. “Like a Dragon: Ishin” is one of many games that are Steam Deck-enabled, allowing players to experience the samurai adventure on the go.
The game is highly anticipated by fans who have been eagerly awaiting its release, as it has not been locally available in the West. The mechanics of “Like a Dragon: Ishin” include beat-em-up action with multiple fighting styles, similar to “Yakuza 0” or “Yakuza Kiwami.” The game is set to be released on February 23, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
