Okay, we know it was yesterday, but this is how you can get Leisure Suit Larry adventure games on Steam and Far Cry 6 from Ubisoft for Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is perhaps the most divisive, exclusionary “holiday”: some people have a great time with their partner, while others are just reminded of how alone they are. But this year, at least game distributors have taken pity on poor, lonely gamers: they’ve made seven classic Larry adventure games free. At the same time, Ubisoft has also come forward with a free-to-play Far Cry 6.
The website Fanatical has given a 100% discount on the Leisure Suit Larry – Retro Bundle, which usually costs €27.13, but now you can get it on Steam.
If you go to the product page, you can see which games you get for free, 7 in total. However, the requirements to get them are too simple.
The only procedure we have to do is to create an account on Fanatical. This takes just a few seconds, so don’t be alarmed if you’re asked for personal or payment details because you won’t be. Be warned, however, that this promotion is for a limited time only. At the time of writing, you still have over six days to take advantage of this package.
The free games:
- Leisure Suit Larry 1 – In the Land of the Lounge Lizards
- Leisure Suit Larry 2 – Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places)
- Leisure Suit Larry 3 – Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals
- Leisure Suit Larry 5 – Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work
- Leisure Suit Larry 6 – Shape Up Or Slip Out
- Leisure Suit Larry 7 – Love for Sail
- Leisure Suit Larry – Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored
Other free games you can claim
Epic Games usually gives PC users a free title or two every week to enjoy at their leisure. This week’s is Recipe for Disaster, but there’s also a festival full of demos on Steam that you can still access. And we can’t forget about the new free games for subscribers to services like PS Plus Essential, Xbox Live Gold, Prime Gaming and more.
Far Cry 6: carnage on the Lovers’ Day
Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 6 will be available to play for free for a few days this week, so players can try the game before possibly purchasing it while the current promotion lasts. The Far Cry 6 celebration is part of the Valentine’s Day celebrations for video games. Other games such as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft also hold special events.
Far Cry’s Twitter account confirmed earlier today that Far Cry 6 would be free to try for a limited time, and the FPS will be on sale as an addition to the changes.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 6’s co-op gameplay will be available during the free trial. The progress players make in the first few hours of the game will continue once the full game unlocks. This free version of Far Cry 6 will be available from February 16 to February 20. It also differs from the ordinarily available trial in that it is not limited to the first island of the game. This will free things up for co-op and solo players.
Along with the temporary price-free copies of Far Cry 6, Ubisoft has also reduced the price of all other Far Cry 6 products for those who decide the game is for them as a result of the trial. All editions of the game, including the inaccurately named Game of the Year edition, will be discounted by up to 70% until the end of the co-operative-focused event. The Game of the Year update for Far Cry 6 and its season pass will also be 50% off. So is the expansion pack Lost Between Worlds, released in December.
Alongside the announcement, a spectacular clip was also shared highlighting the different parts of the Far Cry 6 storyline that players will get full access to, which should help attract some of the franchise’s regular fans.
Far Cry 6 requires over 60 GB of storage space, depending on the platform. So downloading can take several minutes. This could shorten the four days players have to try Ubisoft’s FPS.
On this #ValentinesDay, we have something for you and your co-op soulmate ❤
Play the full #FarCry6 game FREE from Feb 16-20 on all platforms.
Co-op is also available and progression is saved.
