PlayStation Plus Essential: Even The May List Wasn’t Safe From Leaking

Sony cannot stop the leaks linked to the company, and that doesn’t look like it will change any time soon…

It’s so commonplace that everyone knows what’s happening by heart. First, billbil-kun appears on the French website Dealabs, or maybe on Twitter, to list what PlayStation Plus subscribers will get next month, regardless of their subscription tier (Essential, Extra, Premium), and sometimes it happens days before that particular Wednesday. This time, it didn’t: less than a day passed between the leak and its confirmation, but the leak is still a leak, no matter how you twist it…

As is usually the case, two games will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 (until the PlayStation Plus subscription expires, but if you add it to your account in time, it will be on your list). One title will be PlayStation 4 only, which can be run on PS5 thanks to backward compatibility. The highlight of the month this time is probably a racing game from Codemasters, now part of Electronic Arts, called Grid Legends (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). The second game is multiplayer-focused. It is Chivalry II (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), a melee, medieval combat game. The third is Descenders (PlayStation 4), an extreme, downhill bike ride, confirmed by Sony on the PlayStation Blog.

There’s still until Monday (May 1) to catch up on April’s offerings – Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Meet Your Maker (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), and Tails of Iron (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). May games will be available from May 2 until June 6.

That’s not that big a number and might be of interest mainly to the wheel-minded, but other than that, there remains one melee game, but we’ve seen a few of those (e.g., For Honor). Sony is making a shedload of money by the minute on PlayStation 5 sales (wouldn’t it be appropriate to reduce prices finally?!), so it’s not true that they don’t have money for more robust games.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
