MOVIE NEWS – Robert De Niro’s grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez has died, his mother Drena De Niro said. The 51-year-old actress shared the news on social media on Sunday alongside a photo of her 19-year-old son. The cause of death is not yet known
Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, grandson of Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, has died, his mother announced on social media. The boy was only 19 years old.
Actress Drena De Niro, daughter of Robert De Niro, wrote about the loss of her son in an Instagram post on Sunday.
“You were my joy, my heart, and everything that was ever pure and true in my life,” the caption read. “I don’t know how I will live without you, but I will try to carry on and spread the love and light you made me feel so much by being your mom. I loved and appreciated you so deeply and I wish only that love could have saved you” .”
In the post, she tagged her son’s father, artist Carlos Rodriguez, who goes by the name Carlos Mare.
“Rest in peace and eternal paradise, my dear son” he wrote.
“Words are not enough to express the joy he gave us, or the loss we are now enduring with our family and friends,” Mare responded in a comment attached to the post. “He is now a Godschild”.

The cause of death was not shared.
Leandro De Niro Rodriguez was also an actor. She starred with her mother in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. His other acting credits include 2005’s “The Collection” and 2018’s Cabaret Maxime according to IMDB.
Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child in May, confirming that he and his partner Tiffany Chen are already parents to a newborn baby girl, Gia Virginia.
The 79-year-old actor is also father to 51-year-old Drena and 46-year-old Raphael from his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott. He and Toukie Smith, who he never married, share twins Julian and Aaron, 27. 25-year-old Elliot and 11-year-old Helen Grace share with Grace Hightower, whom he married in 1997, but they divorced in 2018.
