Ubisoft’s game supports a technology that can be used with Half-Life: Alyx, Superhot, Halo: Infinite, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Valorant.
Haptics is no slight trend these days, as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the PlayStation 5 controller DualSense provide a sense of the effect in the game at any given time. This concept has been taken a little further by the team at OWO Haptic Gaming System (next time, will they slap an uwu sticker on Lenovo?), a group who might as well be anime fans, given their name. The system can detect multiple effects in the French publisher’s next game by wearing OWO clothing.
The system provides a skin exclusive to the game, and the suit will work on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Twenty gel pads will be attached to the skin of the haptic gaming system, which will then affect ten different parts of your body (such as your arm). Players can adjust certain sensations’ intensity by using the mobile companion app.
Parkour and melee combat will also be felt, as will Basim taking down his victims. Still, if your character is injured, you’ll get a stabbing sensation and, according to OWO, effects not previously felt. Currently, you can feel when you’ve been shot (even if the bullet went through you and inflicted a second wound), received a light or severe abdomen wound, been punched, wounded by a dagger, lifted a weight, pushed an object, collided, fallen, been blown by the wind, or bitten by an insect. Will it be there if Basim falls off a roof, breaking his back?
With Assassin’s Creed Mirage OWO’s haptic feedback system, we also get a digital copy of the game. The bundle pricing is unknown, but the primary size of the suit is €500, and you can get sizes 2XS to 4XL. No date is known, but Ubisoft’s game will be released on October 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
