Another month is almost behind us, so here we are again as Sony announces which games all PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add to their catalog for free during August, so they can access them whenever they want until their subscription expires.
In most cases, here is where we tend to mention how billbil-kun leaked which three games Sony has in store for the coming month before the official announcement (which is how we knew about the July offer before), but at the moment (16:30), we have no information about the August offer. However, we have checked on the Twitter of the trusted French leaker and Dealabs to see if there is anything, but this time, we were unsuccessful. So twice in three months, Sony has managed to prevent word of what’s coming for all three tiers of PlayStation Plus (Essential, Extra, Premium) even days before the official announcement.
August’s offerings can be described as forgettable. The month’s highlight is a golf game, PGA Tour 2K23 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). In Europe, the sport doesn’t have the same interest as overseas. The second game is not bad, but support for this one is essentially finished; it’s Dreams (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). The third game on the list is an indie title, Death’s Door (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4). The three games will be available until September 4.
As a reminder, subscribers still have until July 31 to catch up on July’s offer, which was boosted by a surprisingly more significant game (admittedly, given that the franchise has given the PlayStation 4 a month’s exclusivity with its DLC after changing from the Xbox 360, it isn’t such a surprise). Until the last day of the month, you can still add Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 for the Cross-Gen Bundle version), Alan Wake Remastered (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4; sequel coming this fall for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC), and Endling: Extinction is Forever (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) to your account.
